Where can i get my sons social security # ASAP? i live in indiana?

ok, so we need to file taxes THIS EVENING...and we have everything ready, except we cannot find my sons social security card. they just need the number but i dont know how to get it really fast. i've called his doctors and our insurance company....the drs dont have it and the insurance cant give it to me for 24 hours. any ideas?

Call or go to your local SSA office.

Didn't you use it on last year's returns?

Take his birth cert to the local Soc. Security office, and they can give you a temporary card with the number on it.

Your taxes are not due until April 15th-once you get his ss#, contact your tax preparer. Or check last year's taxes-if he was already born, he would be listed on them.

Also, once you get your son's ss#-put it in a secure spot along with all your other important papers for safekeeping.
