Its not a premium product it is just branded well.

Personally I think that the balls from five years ago played the same as the pro v1 does now. the old professional and tour prestige and the maxfli xs.

The price of the pro v is all in marketing. the same situation as absolute vodka.

just because it cost alot does not mean it is worth paying a premium

  1. Titleist ProV1's are a premium golf ball and are not available new, cheap. That's the price you pay for premium products.

If you find them online at at discount or "cheap" price, they are either used or hot, avoid unless you know what you are buying.

  2. The cheapest place for the newest balls i've found... is the woods right of the first tee at my golf club, Love the high budget hackers...Thanks guys LOL

  3. You can buy X-outs they work just as well just have an misspelling or something like that. They are cheaper than non x-outs but work just the same.

  4. One way is to buy X-outs on ebay. The X-out which is cheaper on it's own ebay will probably take off another few bucks and golf stores always overprice stuff.

  5. to be honest..im a c**p player, but i have found 3 playing half decent corses while trying to find my ball in the trees!

  6. Best place for these puppies is your local golf shop.  Ask for "over-runs".  They are logo balls printed in error or that had extras printed.  At our driving range they get these in 2 or 3 times a year are packaged in plastic baggies and usually sell for $25-30 per dozen.

  7. Titleist does not allow discounting of any of their products, and if they catch a retailer discounting them they will no longer supply that retailer so you aren't going to find them cheap anywhere.  X-outs or practice balls are a little cheaper, but if you don't believe that they are a premium product then just buy a less expensive brand.

  8. Try ebay. But if you don't think they are better, why do you want to buy them? And if you want to get a good ball at a good price from titleist, try to find the G Ran Z. It is made in Japan and only sold in Japan unless you can find overruns. I shoot in the 80's with em and i cant break 90 with a pro v 1.

i would say it is always the indian and never the arrow though.
