  4. I bet you could find them at wal-mart. If you are a vegeterian, then I would try looking were they have turkey burgers and vegeterian foods.

  5. Best way to get them is to make them:

    Vegan Chicken Nuggets

    Ingredients (use vegan versions):

        tofu (your favorite firm variety)

        box of shake n bake (you have to find some that is vegan)

        vegan mayonnaise

        salt

        pepper

        Lawrys season salt

    Directions:

    Cut the tofu into 1 to 1.5 inch cubes.  Put some Nayonaise in a bowl and stir it up so its relatively soupy.  Open up your shake n bake box and put the mix in a plastic bag.  Dip a cube of tofu in the Nayonaise on each side.  Drop the cube in the bag and...shake it up.  Do this for each cube of tofu.  Put them on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and season salt.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.

    I love this recipe, its like eating really juicy chicken.  I know it seems odd to purchase chicken flavor shake n bake, but you can find it without ANY animal ingredients at all!!  My roommate dips them it ketchup, but I like it plain.

    Crunchy Tofu Nuggets

    Ingredients (use vegan versions):

        1 pound extra firm tofu plain or marinated overnight (NOT silken)

        1/2 cup brown rice flour

        1/4 cup fine bread crumbs or panko style

        1 teaspoon each onion, garlic, pepper, and cayenne powder (or cayenne to taste)

        3 tablespoons nutritional yeast

        barbeque sauce or other for dipping

    Directions:

    Press tofu to remove water. Slice through horizontally and then lengthwise to make 1/2 inch strips.

    Mix dry ingredients together in a shallow bowl.  Roll tofu pieces in seasoned crumbs to coat and either place on a baking sheet and cook at 375 for about 10 minutes, flip and cook until golden (about 15 min more) or fry in a half inch of oil until golden brown.

    Drain on a paper towel and serve immediately

    The tofu doesn’t need to be pre frozen Unless you prefer the consistency.

    If seasoning does not stick well, dip pieces in a mixture of water and potato starch (egg replacer).

    Serves: 2-4

    Fried Mashed Potato Nuggets

    Ingredients (use vegan versions):

        1 package Good Seasons Italian dressing mix

        1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes (optional)

        1 cup flour

        1 cup soy milk

        1 cup oil (adjust to cover 1/4" of your pan)

        3 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped

        vegan butter and soy milk for mashing

    Directions:

    Boil potatoes until soft.

    Mix dressing packet, flour, and yeast in one bowl.

    Pour milk in another.

    When potatoes are done, drain and add butter and milk. You can add salt and pepper if you like.

    You do not want these to be too creamy, they need to be somewhat firm.

    Heat the oil.

    Take 2 spoonfuls potato and form into a ball.

    Put in milk bowl, then put into flour bowl.  Repeat.

    Place in oil and roll around until done.

    Drain on a paper towel.
