I have a 924 and she seems to have a bit of a lazy starter motor. Battery is good, and dont think its the solenoid.

I want to strip the starter motor down and put in new bushes/brushes.

  1. I found them at DC Automotive for $5.40 each. Check out their catalog under your cars electrical and you will see an exploded diagram. All the parts you need can be found on this site.

  2. euro parts or B & B Autos in maidstone

  3. bosch parts or try lucas parts usaully can get them

  4. I'd imagine it's a Bosch starter in a 924, so try a Bosch spares agent. You might need to wait till they order them in, as it's quite an old model.

  5. Pelican Parts

    www.pelicanparts.com

    good prices for German cars

  6. a good place to start would be ebay

  7. Phone Motor Factors. If they haven't got them,or can't order them, they will tell you where to get them. You obviously need to quote the make and type of the starter motor.
