the only you can get super cheap is to not have a fixed schedule.  try cheaptickets.com and others like it.

I suggest that you check Air Tran, Southwest, and put in a bid on Priceline.com

southwest, spirit, have good prices,    they both go to fort lauderdale, good luck., look around at airline tickets,   expedia is often more expensive but check on there to see what airlines come up, when that happens...(like say the cheapest airline that comes is delta, go to delta's site and book it there because often it is 100-500 dollars cheaper on there site. good luck
