I've been told that what it will cost you to repair a digital camera you should consider just investing in a new camera.

I had inquired about what appeared to be dust on my lens and that's what brought up this conversation.

But it's your camera and your money so you can determine what the best course of action for you.

Ritz Camera's, link above, is a well known camera shop that might be able to provide so guidance.  But if you want work done for a more reasonable fee you might want to contact one of the area camera shops.  You know the kind, been there for years, good reputation, not a franchise/chain.
