Some businesses actually are required by law to recycle their cardboard and might even get financial benefit from selling off the paper.  But alot of businesses go through tons of boxes of all sizes and they just end up in the dumpster.  Visit all your local veterinary clinics; I worked for one for years and always had all the boxes I needed since they get shipments almost daily of supplies.  Your doctor's office might also be a good choice.  Ask where your friend's and family work whether or not they ever have empty boxes they chuck out.  My mother can get me boxes anytime, too, as they have a warehouse where she works; I also get all the bubble wrap, packing peanuts, and sheets of packing paper since they'd just throw it all out.  Big stores like grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Target, office supply places, etc. are almost always required to compact their cardboard and put in a special dumptster just for recycling.

go to a local kitchen and bath store they got HUGE boxes than u can get for free

You can get free boxes from the grocery store or a big department store. If you need paper to wrap with the newspaper co. will sell you plain white paper very cheap. By the way, the UPS boxes are very small and probably wouldn't be useful.

Not sure where your located but I work at BJ's wholesale club in the bakery and we got throguth alot of boxes a day.  We have actually saved boxes for people on numerous occasions because poeple are moving.  Check with them

The UPS stores are usually pricey.  Go to your local dept store and ask if you can have boxes. If you have a Wal-Mart near you, I suggest that being the best source. They get the really big boxes.
