normally in the country you're visiting, rather than your home country. check on the internet for a reputable exchange before you go - in most tourist spots, there are lots of 'dodgy' ones who don't actually offer their advertised rate.

post office or marks and spencers but its best not to buy too much in the uk and exchange in the country you are visiting as you get a better exchange rate.

Check out www.travelex.co.uk, you will get a better deal online, but can still pick your cash up from the nearest Travelex outlet.

Or, pop into your local Co-op supermarket, where they offer packages of 100 euros, or 50 euros......and they're offering quite a good rate too.
