it depends where you are and where you are going ... for general info ... travelocity.com is an excellent resource. I worked for US Air and our best fares were published there.

If are on their route Spiritair.com has a $9 fare club ... I bought 4 rounf trip tickets from AC,NJ to Orlando for $64.00 TOTAL (including taxes and fees) !!!
