  1. The IRS allow standard deduction of 50 cents per mile.  That include the cost of gas, insurance, maintenance, etc.

    But that would be asking way too much. You are lucky they will give you anything.  

    ===

    If you can get 20 mpg, then getting 20 cents per mile would make you break even.

    If you can get 30 mpg, then about 15 cents per mile would make you break even.

  2. the irs now allows .585 per mile as of july 08 so 58 and a half cents per mile.....

  3. Do they pay you mileage based on how many miles you drive vs. the gas mileage your car gets?

    If so, just go to http://www.fueleconomy.gov/f*g/findacar.... and find out your car's estimated fuel economy, and go from there.
