Where can i go to find out if my child is a prodigy?

It really saddens me that that is the most important thing you are worried about right now. Love you child for who they are. Weather they are the most stupid person in the world, or if they find a cure for cancer. There are way more important things to worry about.

You can have you child take a formal assessment, administered by a psychologist, if you want to know his/her IQ.  However, an IQ test only examines your child's success of taking the formalized testing tool...

Unless being able to characterize your child as an official "prodigy" has any value besides bragging rights, you may just choose to continue to encourage and foster your child's learning, letting his/her accomplishments speak for themselves.

First, you must explain or give an operational definition to the word "prodigy." Then you will have to see a psychologist to determine an I.Q. if you are refering to intelligence, but of course there are many other types of skills an individual can be a prodigy in...

LOL  All parents think there child is the next prodigy.  Your opinion of your child is thoroughly bias; however, if you think you are truly witnessing something special then you need to determine what type of prodigy you are referring to, and then seek the appropriate counsel.

your childs teacher would refer your child to the school board and to a phyciatrist to get your child into a higher grade or what not!
