  1. yes, did it for my parents anniversary last year paid per foot, cost about $300.  went to my local photography store.

  2. jungle jims, they have everything

  3. I think Walmart can. Also wouldn't hurt to ask dudes a photo making places and like best buy.

  4. you could just play them on a wall and video record them . hook up the sound from the super8 cameras to your digital camera. it worked for me just dont have auto focus on and do test runs to make sure they are good quality.

  5. any major photography store in your area

  6. Most chain druggists offer the service for about 25$ for each video tape of up to sixty minutes. Ask at the photo counter of your pharmacy, discount department store (eg. Walmart,) grocery store, or any other place that deals with 35MM film and digital prints.

  7. Walmart actually does an excellent job.  I had 2 tapes done last month.

  8. its a pain, but contact a videographer in your area, or a video production company, they should have a converter.  they will probably charge you a considerable amount, but its probably worth it.

  9. you know you can take a sony handycam and put the 8mm tape in it and copy it into the computer through the av thing and then copy it onto the dvd
