Where can i go to learn about parakeets?

ok, so i've decided to get a parakeet, but i know nothing about them except for that they come in many colors & are beautiful. where can i go (other than a library) to learn about them?

you could do research or go to your local zoo

you can go to your local pet store that sells parakeets and ask someone that works there about them.

They also  sell magazines and books about parakeets in the pet store

You could look them up on wikipedia.org or you could go to your local pet store like everybody else mentioned and ask as many questions as you like about them.
