  1. dont know about dublin but where im from, rebel songs are very much alive and well

  2. the Arlington hotel, Bachelors walk, have an Irish dancing/singing session on every weekend, usually about 6 or 7....the aul rebel songs are a bit out dated now, with the peace process and all, so maybe you won't find your full blown rebel row, like the other answerer said, Cork or Kerry, the further away from the problem, the more patriotic

  3. Cobblestone...........^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

  4. Better going to the rebel county....Cork! You will hear a lot of good rebel tunes there!

  5. nowhere....................try cork  ?

  6. try galway or clare, cork, kerry or any others in the south

  7. Some rebel songs are still popular, but not all ... as Dublin is the most English of the Irish cities (in feeling if not in politics), then you might not have so much luck. I'd recommend heading west or south-west, like Galway, Mayo, Clare, Limerick, Kerry or Cork. Now these ARE Ireland ....

  8. not sure whats on this weekend but the Cobblestone in Smithfield often has sessions you might like and there is a pub on talbot street the Gardiner st. end, just cant remember the name but its right next door to guineys they go in for the rebel music!!!!

  9. Buy a couple of Damien Dempsey albums and go nuts.

  10. any Carrolls gift shops sel cd's which will have a few rebel songs.. but If you want really rebellious and pro Irish songs, try the Sinn Fein shop on Parnell square in dublin.. they have lots of stuff I Imagine
