Where can i install/download a dvd decoder for free for my computer.?

I have my camera hooked to my computer and when Windows media opens ready to play the move but all of a sudden it says, Can not play movie because i don't have a DVD decoder installed. Please give me the link and THANKS TO WHO ANSWERED!

  2. A media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ - this will work for sure or a codec pack http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Li... - how well it will work depends on the WMP
