  1. youtube

  2. Don't know wherabouts you live but the new Chill Factor e opposite the Trafford Centre in Manchester opened a couple of months ago. They have top snowboard instructors and various types of lessons depending on what you want to do. They also have Freestyle night on Saturday nights with rails etc. Chill Factor e is the longest slope in the UK - well worth a visit! If you don't live close (I'm lucky because I do!), there are two hotels practically next to it. The Tulip Inn and also a Travel Lodge. To see more info on Chill Factor e see www.chillfactore.com.

Tip - Book well in advance. Being newly opened and all its very busy. Quietest times currently are Mon - Fri mornings when most people are at work or school. Evenings and weekends and holidays are busiest...

good site, you can learn alot from it

you really have to learn first hand though

get on a moderate slope to try going down switch, it will only take you a couple of runs to get the hang of it

next, find very small jumps (kickers) to practice doing ollies on , you could try doing this without a jump, but its a bit harder to learn

good luck, and hope i helped!

  9. There really isn't any trick to riding switch.  You just have to do it.  It will be hard at first, but you already know how to ride, your muscles just have to get used do riding the other direction.  You will look like a beginner for a few runs, but oh well.

When I need some extra help getting a trick down, I go to the how-to section on Transworld.  They have video how-tos taught by pros, and they have by far the best tricktips.

    www.transworldsnowboarding.com

One more tip: start hopping around all the time.  When going down the mountain, always keep an eye out for little bumps you can pop off of.  Also, start getting off the runs whenever possible.  You will learn a lot about controling your board riding through the trees and down through small creekbeds.

    Good luck :)
