  1. You will have to find a Class III FFL/SOT holder in your home state.

Just don't forget the $200 transfer tax and Federal Registration, since is is a NFA device.

  2. e-bay

  3. check it make sure its legal in your state as its only legal is 38 of the 50

  4. save your self some money and just buy some subsonic rounds. At 1070 feet per second, the Subsonic is quieter than high speed hollow points, and its special nose cavity is designed for high retained weights and classic mushrooming at subsonic velocities. It's great for varminting

  5. What AZ2CO said, then only if it is legal in your state.

In Texas, having the BATFE paperwork and such is a defense to prosecution and does not guarantee a not guilty verdict

  6. i am sure, that with a proper license, there is some place that you can purchase 1.

my question to you is, WHY WOULD YOU WANT 1, unless you are planning on using said gun, either in a place that is illegal to shoot it or you are planning on using said gun, to commit a crime, where the gunshot might be heard

  7. You need to live in a state that allows unlicensed civilians to own silencers.  AL, AR, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, ME, MD, MS, MT, NE, ND, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY do not ban ownership.  KS and MO will soon be added to the list as they are changing their laws.

Check here; http://www.subguns.com/c2c3/c2c3.htm for dealers in your state that sell silencers.  You must be at least 18 years old to  make one or purchase from another person in your state, 21 to buy from a dealer.  In either case, a $200 tax is paid and you must have the approved ATF form (form 1 to make, form 4 to buy) in your hands to start making or take possession.  ATF approval is routine, takes 1-2 months and I have never heard of the ATF denying authorization to anyone who filled out the paperwork properly.  The hardest obstacle to owning one is obtaining the local sheriff’s signature on the ATF form.  If the sheriff refuses to sign, then you ask a DA or judge in your county to sign, or form a Corp or trust to own the silencer for you.

A good 22 caliber silencer costs about $300 or more plus the tax.  Making one only costs about $20 plus tax if you have a lathe.  Check out http://www.subguns.com and http://www.silencertests.com for more info.

Shooting any firearm with a good silencer is a real blast.  Good luck.

  8. if you are in the USA, you need to find one first, then transfer it and pay the tax, register with the BATF. Check the ads in Shotgun News.

I have been told that silenced/suppressed 22's are common in the UK, but I am not in the UK so I cannot help you with this.
