Where can i say in rome for cheap?

i am on a budget travel and I will be needing 3 nights of stay at a hotel/hostel/budget hotel in rome, anyone has any advice on where i could stay please

Check out the Hotel Mariano.  They have a web site.  Call to make your reservations, it's cheaper than booking online.  It was really clean and nice.  Our room overlooked a piazza across the street.  Staying close to the Termini has a bad reputation, but I stayed close to there with no issue.  It's a lot cheaper over there.
