Where can i stay in the New Forest?

Question

Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to the New Forest at the beginning of September but only for a few days. Does anyone know where we can find self catering accommodation where you can take your dogs along and is not exstortionate? I've searched the net but everything that i find only has weekly bookings and costs a bomb! Ideally we'd love a little log cabin or something like that...any ideas?
