Yeah, I support couch-surfing too!  It's a great, free, non-profit organisation for making friends with other travellers around the world.  You can check out the people and their accommodation in detail before you leave home.  (It's meant to be reciprocal, so that you provide frliendly advice and/or accommodation when you're at home - though  not necessarily to the same people.)
