Here's a little secret for you. . .

On your blog, write an article about something that relates to your blog topic.  Then post this on digg.com and propeller.com.  Search engines will pick this up quickly.

You don't need to "Submit" to search engines.  If you do good SEO, you will get listed well.  You might also want to consider joining the new Yahoo Group that I am forming.  It is helps and resources and discussion for webmasters and internet marketers.  The link is below.
