Where can i surf on lake erie???

if anyone knows a place on lake erie (i live in buffalo) where i can surf, pleaseee let me know. i would love to surf, even if its 2 foot mushy waves. anddd if there is any place in the area that you know of, where do you think i could find a board that would be good for freshwater?? thanks for any answers :)

lake erie?...dude i live in ohio and lake erie is choppy and not good at all for surfing, save your money and go to cali or florida and rent a good board it is well worth it ...trust me

I only surfed there once but there is surfing on Lake Erie.  I don't know about your area since the place I went is at the south end of the lake.  The waves are mostly wind driven and mushy, similar to some parts of the Gulf.  The water was very cold in summer so must be terrible in winter.  There is even a regional competition of the Eastern Surfing Association there.  I've added a link below that should give you the information you need for places, boards, etc.
