Where can i volunteer abroad (such as africa) EMT...?

Im an EMT and i want to go abroad to an african country and volunteer as an EMT... does anyone know any programs that send EMT's abroad anywhere? i dont have much money so i cannot pay my own way, im volunteering my work for up to 3-4 months so it would b nice if my flight etc. was to be covered... its a long shot asking on here, but hey, if u know anything, please do let me know

  1. No NGO can afford to fly you to Africa to volunteer for a few months.

    You may be able to get your airfare paid for by a church or some other sponsoring organization.

    Try searching on this topic in the resolved questions area - Jayne Says Read More Books has answered it about 100 times.


  2. If you're only able/willing to work for 3-4 months, your chances are very slim. If you're able to work for 6+ months (more preferably 12-24 months) you'll have more luck.

    We  need more details on where you live. There's a program in Canada that needs medical personnel in Lesotho, but this program just takes Canadians. Check out Doctors Without Borders. You don't need to be a dr in order to go overseas with them.
