  1. VolunteerMatch, http://www.volunteermatch.org

    Idealist, http://www.idealist.org

    Change.org, http://www.change.org

    CraigsList, http://www.craigslist.com

    ServeNet, http://servenet.org/

If you see an organization that you would like to help, but don't see a volunteering opportunity posted by that organization, it's okay to call them and say you would like to volunteer -- they may have opportunities they haven't posted. Also, many organizations are open to your own suggestions for volunteering activities.

  2. Try volunteermatch.org

You can find any sort of volunteer opportunities that are in your area.

  3. Hospital as a Kandy Stripper-or Vet Hospital..my neighbor daughter volunteered at age 15...or you could work with project lift off this is a government granted program that works with kids that live in low income housing...short name is The Projects...

  4. Try a library, animal shelter, old folks center, boys and girls orginaztions, Habitat for Humanity, and other various local groups. Trust me, there are tons of non profit groups in your area. Perhaps call your city office to locate some.
