Where can i win broadway tickets or find them cheap?

it is my DREAM to see Legally Blonde the Musical at the Palace Theatre. I have loved broadway all my life and i have seen Wicked, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, and Lion King. All my life I have wanted to be on broadway, and when i grow up i really want to try. If you know where i can find tickets cheap, (i have to buy my own- and plane ticket!) please let me know. The TKTS booth in Times Square offers tickets at half price plus a $1.50 handling fee.  So a $100 ticket will be $51.50.

However, these tickets are sent to the booth THAT DAY for a performance THAT NIGHT of a show that is not filled to capacity, so you never know what's going to be offered / available until you get there.  Still, it's a great deal!

ALso check out www.broadwaybox.com for discount tickets. The thing is, Broadway is so expensive that even the 1/2 off tickets are still $60 (including the fee's), which I wouldn't really call cheap.

Some shows release a certain number of $20 tickets before each show. For example Rent does this for the 1st 2 rows and other shows have followed. It's chosen by lottery though, so there's no guarantee you'd get tickets.

Legally Blonde has a Student Rush: $26.50 - available on the day of the performance when the box office opens. Approximately 24 seats available for each performance. Limit 2 per valid ID. Student IDs checked both at time of purchase and when you enter the theatre.  Only available to college/university students.

You can also buy tickets at playbill.com by joining their discount program. It doesn't cost anything and gives you AMAZING discounts. My sister and I bought tickets using it for less than $70 with all the other costs that you get from the theater. We have GREAT seats- Row G in the center section!
