Where can in the houston area can i shoot there guns?

i would like to buy a new gun but i dont want to buy it without shooting it . were in the houston area can i shoot there guns at the gun range

Nowhere I know of.  Now you can rent guns at gun ranges and if you want say a Glock .40 caliber you can rent a .40 cal. to shoot.  Once a police supply store manager very generously offered to let me borrow a Glock Model 31-C .357 Sig to try out at our police range provided I promised not to fire it more than five times unless I was going to buy it.  I thanked him and politely declined because I already knew I didn't want anything compensated.  So I ordered a new Glock Model 31 (uncompensated), paid the man and patiently waited for my Glock to arrive.

There's a public pistol range at Witte Rd. just north of the Katy Frwy. (exit Gessner & look for the signs) that rents guns.  And there's one west of SH-6 on Westheimer that I believe also rents guns, but this is an outdoors range.

don't pressure yourself to buy just yet. you can rent guns at ranges that you think you would like to buy and shoot them on their range. I live in Humble, Texas which is about 10 miles northeast of Houston and I go to Carter's Country. You can rent the gun, buy some ammo, shoot it, and do it all over agian till you find something you like. There are 4 locations.
