I really want to go somewhere special.... is there somewhere really romantic you could recommend?

I agree with cinder Edinburgh is a gorgeous city and absolutely stunning this time of year. However, if you are looking for a quieter weekend away I would look at a B&B or small country inn in the Cotswolds. Its small enough to be romantic and quiet, but there are enough things to do that you won't get bored.

Edinburgh is beautiful and especially at this time of year, we have the Edinburgh Festival on and hundereds of poeple from around the world visit, especially chinese and American, its great and there are some very beutiful hotels with spas etc and beutiful romantic restaurants with lovely views, or if not edinburgh you could try further north, weather not great here at the moment,but stil a beutiful place to come, Hope you don't live in edinburgh already and this post has been a waste of time!!!
