Question:

Where can one buy ceiling fans with incandescent light bulb fixtures?

I do not wish to participate in the fad (or the communist movement) of "going green." My daughter's old school ceiling fan gave up the ghost and I am having a tough time finding normal ceiling fans with normal light fixtures. Apparently this has been made possible by Pelosi's Nanny Politburo...Anyhow, What website (aside from E-bay) can I buy a pre-Pelosi ceiling fan with “Thomas Edison” incandescent light bulb fixtures (and candelabra bulbs do not count)?

Thank you for your help!

  1. My local Wal-Mart store still has them. I saw them last week.If you are handy, you can always buy the socket and install it in  the new fixture.

  2. I wish.  They use the same socket, and they're all over.  Do a search for "ceiling fans."  The ones I just looked at have incandescent bulbs -- actually, no bulbs, and I wouldn't put an incandescent in, but the wattages they give you are for them.

Silly rabbit, conservation is for patriots.

  3. Home Depot and Lowes still sell what you are looking for.

  4. I feel your "control" pain. All the stock in the home center stores are either a high dollar "push in" style bulb or the candelabra style. If all else fails, have her select the fan she likes, then replace the Pelosified garbage light fixture, with some Eastern US ingenuity. Here are some great choices from an old established business, relatively, close to you.

    Hope this was helpful.
