Where can one purchase shark fin in the US?

I think that is an inappropriate dish for school. There are many other decadent dishes you could prepare to wow your chef instructors and fellow classmates. Without proper and experienced instruction, it would be a waste of the shark fin.

a chinese or japanese store should have them. you can also buy them easy in southern california.
