what type of work? where in san francisco? in SF? or the bay area in general?  age and marital status has nothing to do with employment.  you being  a student may limit your work hours/location because of your school commitment. but as a student you can look for co-op or internship positions which companies like to hire and train. try hotjob.com, monster.com or careerbuilder.com.  also craigslist.org too.
