My cousins have just moved to the valley. Where can younger teenagers find jobs that will be fun, and offer enough hours so their parents don't have to keep giving them money?

  1. Harkins and AMC Theaters hire at 14 1/2. Each of my boys started working at these theaters when they were this age. Have them go into the theaters and talk to the managers. Yes, they can get the apps online, but they need to show them that they are responsible, capable and reliable.

Have them go in dressed nicely, watch the "Uhs, ums and you knows"; be polite but direct. There are jobs out there for them, all you need to do is ask!

    Also might try:

    +Veterinarian clinics

    +car washes

    +arcades

+many fast food; McDonald's. They just need a food handler's card for food service work.

+if they are REALLY hard workers, try at In-n-Out Burger. They start at $10, but work their b*tts off!

Each of these places are great for teenagers, and offer great pay. Places like Fiddlesticks are great because of the pay and incentives. Movie theaters offer incentives like passes and movie posters and other stuff for good productivity and attendance.

The only thing you really have to worry about is the times they work, cuz some places take advantage of young teens, and do not follow Child Labor Laws. You may want to look those up before they find the job they like!
