I'm not quite old enough to work in Arizona. In Arizona you have to be 16 to work and I'm 14. So I was wondering where I could volunteer. Like hospitals, libraries and stuff like that. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I want to have good things on my resume.

Thank you in advance.

  1. Well i am in Ohio but when I was in high school I vounteered my time at nursing homes in the activities department or I would volunteer at the local fairs for cleanup.  If you want your resume to look good you should try to put together a few "plant a tree" or "clean a park/freeway" projects together.

  2. A local church. Even if your not religious.

  3. Salvation Army

  4. Animal Shelter?

  5. if i was 14 and wanted to volunteer then I would work somewhere charitable and not at a library.  charities always look better on your resume bc it shows your concern for the community.

  6. Check with the local Kiwanis.  We welcome volunteers, such as you!

  7. Meals on Wheels, Kiwanis, Salvation Army...a big one for me is boys and girls club of America. It was so rewarding and would look really good on a resume :)

  8. A library is a perfect place because it is somewhere that everyone in the community kind of part owns. A church is also a good place. Try babysitting, a local park, the pool. There are always needy neighbors around. Helping them is rewarding because the look on their faces when you're done is priceless. Good luck!
