  1. Craiglist.org is the absolute best online place to look.  With summer approaching, you'll start seeing a lot more people selling their old boards.  If your budget is <$200 then you might have a hard time finding a nice longboard although it's not out of the question.  Longboards tend to run more expensive than shortboards.  Ebay is a lousy place as no one wants to pay for shipping and who knows what condition you'll get the board in.  You can try local surf shops but  your best deals will be on craigslist.org.  Good luck!

  2. eBay

  3. If you go to a store online it will always be costly, the only way to get a good quality one is to buy used, or ebay and bid, but if ebay is the way you're going to do it, make sure you communicate with the seller and know exactly what you are getting.  Read the description thoroughly, or you might get something not as good as you had anticipated.

  4. Depending on where you live I'd try some local surf shops, they usually have used ones for sale.  As far as getting one in your price range it will be hard, long boards are the most expensive boards you can get. If your just starting out you might try a fun board from Stewart or somebody else. I understand the budget problem very well, I had to save as much as I could just to get my first board.. good luck...
