Where can u set hermit crabs free?

i hav 0ne and he keeps trying to get free can i release him to make him happier?

Rehome your crabs with an experienced crab keeper. Put up notices in pet shops and online classifieds. Ask the potential new owner how many crabs they keep, how long they kept them, how many successful moults they've had, and the size of the enclosure.

Place your animal in a home with other crabs where it will be loved.

Releasing will be a death sentence.

Crabs are social animals you can't just dump it on a beach. unless you live in a place where that animal is native to you'll be messing with the Eco system and the hermit crab won't be able to survive.

The move from the wild to captivity is hard enough on the crab. dumping an animal on a beach will stress the little fella out.

It's much better to send him to a loving home where he can have crab friends.

If you set him free, chances are he won't survive!!  He has been raised in captivity and doesn't know how to fend for himself.  Take him to a pet shop or put him on craigslist.
