Where can we go camping near Clear Lake, Texas?

I tend to use www.takemefishing.org to find info about lakes, boating, fishing, camping sites etc...

It hasn't let our family down yet. :D

I live near Clear Lake, Tx...

We camp a lot. Brazos Bend State Park is about 45 minutes away. This is a very nice park. The trees are big and shady and have lots of moss hanging from them. The campsites are large. The bathrooms are clean. The bike riding is very nice. The park has ALOT of alligators, but not near the campsites. You can ride your bikes right past the gators and they just lie there. There is a nice nature center as well.

Huntsville State Park is about 1.5 hours away. It is one of may favorite parks. Lots of trails for your bikes.
