  1. Best place is "Nuances" at Casino of Montreal. Known as one of the best in Canada, but very expensive. Also Express on StDenis street very well graded. "Toquee" is also one of the best and expensive. Many more ordinary restaurants on Prince Arthur street, greek mostly, and you bring your wine.  "Le Luthetia" in hotel de LaMontagne is also excellent and not so expensive without wine( expensive ++). Don,t try restaurants on Crescent street or on StLaurent street ; you will pay way too much for what you get. Have a nice stay! Welcome!

  2. i agree with almost everyone, and the truth is downtown has become touristy and overdone. go off the beaten path! p.s st. viateur street is the next big 'hood, try there!

  3. there's a restaurant on ste-catherine / St-Marc, it's a very nice and PRIVATE restaurant.... very nice

    u could try ,

(514)582-2222 and also u can do a research on internet for that .. too

    Lumama Sushi Restaurant

  4. hello,

you can go to a Fancy restrauntant or a Family restrautant downtown Montreal. You can give him a rose or a heart chocolate.

  5. I've lived in Montreal for thirty years.  There are tons of downtown places, depends on what sorts of food you enjoy.  The most romantic places are the French and the Italian and there is an entire street of Greek restaurants that are not expensive, that you would have to take a taxi to. It will likely be cold here so consider a place close to your hotel, unless you wish to dress up in winter stuff and take a cab. There's a good Japanese place, East Indian, Mongolian and some trendy streets that are all bars and restaurants, like Crescent Street, Peel Street, Guy Street are all places to look at as well as long stretches of St. Catherine Street.

  6. If you want to have a good dinner in a romantic place the best option for you is Old Montreal.  It's very historic and you'll think you're in Europe.  There are several very good restaurants there - "Modavie" and "Restaurant de Vieux Port" are two of my favourites; just explore the menus which are posted outside.  You can also check out the website below and make your decision - it has all the Old Montreal restaurants listed and other tourist information.  After dinner, treat yourself to a romantic horse and buggy ride!  I promise you it will be a memorable Valentine's Day for you and your boyfriend.
