  1. eBay is your friend.  Probably best to buy the leotard, tutu skirt, tights and ballet slippers separately.  As a previous answerer states, I wouldn't recommend pointe shoes unless you were trained, plus the fact they will cost twice as much as normal ballet slippers at the very least and wouldn't be worth the outlay unless you actually planned taking up ballet properly.  It all depends what you call cheap.

Any cheap tutu designed for a hen or stag night would set you back about £5 plus postage.  A proper pair of ballet tights prehaps another £3-£5, and a leotard about the same again.  The slippers will probably cost most, but theres no reason why you shouldn't be able to get a pair for under £10, meaning a total outlay of about £25.  If you was to go to a dancewear website for a proper pair of pointe shoes of a decent brand you could end up paying anything from £30 upwards.  Even a simple practice tutu or leotard at a dancewear site will set you back £15-£30 at least and for particular custom-made character costumes (proper 'Swan Lake' stuff) you can pay a h**l of a lot more.  If you have a plain black swimsuit it may even be worth using that in lieu of buying a leotard, just to save a bit of cash - after all, there's not that much difference between the two items and presumably you'll be wanting to save cash where you can.

  2. www.ebay.com

  3. you have to take pointe classes to have pointe shoes you cant just go get them and say ur a pointe dancer!

as far as the costume goes:

    hope this helped!

  4. You can't buy Pointe shoes cheaply at all...and I would never recomend them for anyone who wasnt trained....just buy ballet slippers. You can make a tutu very easily out of Tulle...(net) just sew a hem along one side and insert elastic...pull it tight and it is a tutu.

  5. ebay. ebay sells everything. dont buy a professional tutu; ie, one that a proper corps de ballet would use, as they cost A LOT. like, hundreds. there are plently fancy dress ones available. also, DONT BUY POINTE SHOES IF YOU ARE NOT TRAINED. EVER. SERIOUSLY. YOU WILL KILL YOUR FEET. buy slippers, mine cost £11. they arent great for walking around outside in as the sole is so thin, so if youre planning a night out on the town plain pumps might be better.
