  1. You can buy them from people who sell livestock (just look in the classified adds of your local newspaper).  If you're lookin' to eat it, then buy one already cleaned and ready to go from a local butcher shop.  The grocery store butcher shop can probably special order one for you.

  2. IF YOUR AROUND  L.A. CA. , TAKE A DRIVE AROUND CHINO/ONTARIO AREA THERE'S A LOT OF ACTIVE FARM/RANCHS WHO DEAL IN LIVESTOCK...

  3. If you want a whole pig, your local butcher can help you. If he doesn't sell them whole, he can direct you to where you can find them.

Having a luau, or just freezing the meat?

  4. Walmart Super Center's Meat  Department...................There is usually a sign in the meat department to place an order for ordering a whole hog. I have seen the sign in Super stores in Tennessee and Georgia.

  5. a live one? dead one?

If you want to get a whole pig, just go to a butcher.  In most grociery stores, you can ask if you can buy a pig, it'll be cut up and packaged, just like the butcher would do.  It'll be pretty much like you just shopped around, got some bacon, got some ham, got some of this, some of that.

If you want it whole, like... a pig roast, with the apple in the mouth turnin' on a spit type... I guess you can order one from the grocer's butcher... lol.

Other than that, you can ask around - I know there's plenty of local butcher shops that would sell you a "package deal" for buying a whole pig.  After all, it prevents them from having to sell all of the parts individually... lol!

  6. alive one cause you can go the butcher to get it packaged
