  1. you dont want a wire floor go with plastic floor your whatever pet can have many problems with a wire floor like bumblefoot and big cuts that get infected so go with a wire cage with plastic bottom

  2. Wal-Mart I think. I have a wire cage but we got it in South America where we used to live.

  3. Petco is a really good place to buy cages, because they have a big variety. It depends on what animal you have, because that will effect the size of the cage that you need. We have two guinea pigs, and we put them in a medium sized, wire cage with a metal bottom(not a wired bottom, because those are bad). We got it at Petco for about 40$. You're really not gonna find one thats much cheaper than that. You don't have to go to Petco, but anywhere thats a really big warehouse/department store would be good such as Wal-Mart, Pet Land, or Target. Any little pet stores will be really expensive.

  4. Wire levels, ramps and wheels are all dangerous and extreamly painful for the small animal, and can cause bumble foot. If you have rats I'd recrommend the superpet cage for exotics avalible at petsmart.com I have it with two rats, but since it has 8 sq ft of room 4 rats can live in it comfortably. The plastic it very durable and if you offer wood chews and other hard stuff to chew on they will not chew the plastic. Id recrommed replacing the wheel with a solid one.

  5. You should NEVER use a wire-floor cage. It's tremendously painful for the animal, and can cause things such as bumblefoot, or they could break their poor little legs.

If you have a guinea pig, you need a C&C cage: http://www.guineapigcages.com/

If you have a hamster, you need a solid bottom cage, no matter what.

If you have a gerbil, you need a solid bottom cage, no matter what.

If you have a rat, you need a solid bottom cage, no matter what.

If you have a rabbit, you can build a C&C cage as well, like these: http://www.guineapigcages.com/photos/sho...
