  3. When I smoked, I used to smoke rollies and was so pee'd of with the prices charged at supermarkets. I sourced a tobacconist who sold bulk tobacco and it was real cheap compared to the normal outlets. Like 1/3 the cost. Tasted a bit different but was ok. This guy sold up his shop about 4 years ago and since then I had slowly given them up. There is a place in Auburn that I have been told still can get bulk tobacco. But this is only heresay. Fines are extremely high (like up to $50,000) for people found selling "choppy", as it is classed as defrauding the Government of tax. I understand it is quite difficult to get though because of the crackdown on it.

You could try particular shops in Auburn or even Lidcombe  but they usually wont sell to you if they don't know you!!!

    This may help you out.

  4. Hello,

It is illegal to sell  loose Tobacco.

Penalty is extremely high- Huge Fine, Cancel business registration and also imprisonment.

However I knew one tobacconist in Rockdale area who used to sell, but shop has been closed for last few months.

However buying is also partly considering violation of rules.

    Thanks
