A few years ago, I saw small containers of ladybugs in a cooler at a local garden center.  But this idea didn't last long; the beetles died because no one bought them.  But major seed catalogs still carry them, look where the bug killers are, usually they list ladybugs and preying mantises with or nearby the chemicals.   They will arrive in the mail (!) in a sturdy box or canister.  They are supposed to be sleeping, but every box I've recieved has had a busy population trying to escape captivity.  It's rather neat to stick a hand into a box and pull it out covered with spotted beetles!
