i always go to a site like booking budy so i can compare prices from lots of different sites quickly. I ussually find the best prices for round trip at priceline.com, cuz on the round trip you can make an offer on the price, i start at half what the price is and slowly work my way up till they accept it. But do keep in mind with gas prices the cost of tickes are higher then they were last year or even the beginining of this year so you wont find them extreemly cheep anywhere. I hope this helped.

I just saw free tickets from Ryanair.com and flyBE.com -- seats actually available, you just pay the taxes and airport fees, meaning the airline doesn't make anything from the ticket price.

Go for a search on Google with keywords like cheapest airline tickets, cheap airfare, cheap flights, cheap flight deals and you will get list of online  travel agency, choose the best one by searching air fares and go for it.

For flights within the US or to Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean, use the online sites - Expedia, Travelocity, Priceline, etc.

For flights to other parts of the world, if you live in a city with a large immigrant community from the country you want to travel to (Chinese, Russian, Indian, Brazilian, etc.), travel agents in that community will usually have the best deals.

If your city doesn't have an immigrant community from the country you want to go to, look at your Sunday paper travel section, and look for small box ads featuring only cities and prices.  Those are discount travel agents called "consolidators", and airlines use them to dump large numbers of unsold seats cheaply.  They will usually have very good deals.
