Where can you exactly see the perseid meteor showers?

It will be visible, weather permitting, anywhere where the skies are sufficiently dark.  It is going on right now and is peaking in intensity today, August 12.  The best times for viewing are after local midnight, toward the eastern sky, away from city lights and other light sources.  You can see some earlier in the evening, but normally not as many.  Meteor showers typically last for days, but have a distinct peak in intensity lasting on the order of hours, with fewer meteors either side of that peak.
