Where can you exchange romanian lei in united states for american money?

I have romanian lei and would like to exchange it. I went to bank and they say they must mail off. I would like to go and exchange myself. somewhere in s.c. preferably or near.

There are money changing services at most major US airports and banks will also do it. The charges are usually pretty steep, but if you need to change it, than what choice do you have?

If you are landing in S. Carolina, I would say a bank would be your best bet.

Most major banks, but you will get a really really lousy exchange rate because America does not want or need the currency
