where can you get ultra-high speed turbines mounted within each boot, that can compress incoming air to incandescence and each attain a static thrust of 1, 475 pounds, yielding a gross lifting capacity of 2,700 pounds. For high-altitude operations, each leg contains a compressed air supply that can continually top itself off even at high altitudes. Thus, the flight durations are practically limited only by the wearer's ability to resist fatigue. The maximum height [Iron Man] can attain is 70,000 feet. His maximum unloaded, evel flight at sea level is Mach 1.25 where can you get this for personal flight ?

  1. Nowhere.  Guess you and Robert Downey will have to design one....

  2. The question is ridiculous, and at the moment, the specs you asked about do not exist for a 1 man suit.  BUT there is someone I saw on CNN that flew in a jet engine powered glider like suit that reached about 7,000 feet (not 70,000) and about 200 MPH.  Don't get your hopes up for owning one of your own.

  3. Easy, on the cinema screen!

    (Please, ask a serious question!)

  4. Keep you eyes and ears open. A couple of security police dudes got arrested for trying to sell an F16 engine back in the late 70's in Utah. And yes, it did happen.

Unfortunately for them, the FBI answered the ad. Maybe the next time, you can be first!!

  5. The movie isn't real and much of the technology in it is fictional, completely fabricated. Most of the engineering feats in the movie would be possible, however, if somebody were to come up with such a fantastic energy source as his generator. In fact, if the suit were real, the thrusters in his boots and gloves would probably use a compressor in conjunction with some kind of heat exchanging coil and hi-temp silicone coolant to superheat the air. This could cause enough rapid expansion for powered flight. Similiar propulsion systems have been propsed for large aircraft utilizing nuclear reactors for the entense amount of heat necessary but those have some incredible challenges to overcome before they get off the ground. The real engineering revolution in that movie was the generator. Alas, since Iron Man is all science-fiction, such power plants aren't aviailable for use. Somebody might come up with something like it eventually, but it just doesn't exist today.

  6. Take your tablets son.

Havent you learned what fictional movies are yet?

  7. um, not possible in a long shot, plus, ur skin will rip open by the sheer wind, sound barrier... u get ripped appart, and like 1000+lbs of equipment
