Where can you find a turtle?

I want to go outside and try to find a box turtle or some type of turtle.

Most turtles are found near water.  i do not suggest getting a wild turtle as a pet.  for one its illegal in most places. buy one instead.  they will be in better health.  buying a turtle is relatively cheap its the setup thats not.   so plan on spending way over a hundred dollars if you are looking for a pet.

leave the turtles alone.  wild-caught turtles do not make good pets.  go to the petstore and buy one if you want one.

i have had alot of wild turtles as pets. its great. box turtles are very friendly n they dont bite. one i had found i owned for 10 years b4 anything happened to him. i have always found mine on the road. on hot days box turtles like to sunbath on rocks and roads. usually in wooded areas is where u would most likely stumble across one. :) good luck.
