As the others have said, Werribee open range zoo might be a winner. If no luck their, have a crack at any local universities near you. As an example, http://www.zoo.latrobe.edu.au/Staff/acad... is the faculty page for Zoology at La Trobe - but its probably a bit far. Im sure other unis have similar pages with contact pages like the above.
