also when after pressing a flower what is that tape-like stuff to stick the flower to a page

If done in a professional manner, the tape is linen fabric with an adhesive applied to one side.  Unlike paper-backed tape or cellophane, it won't degrade the specimen or become brittle over time:  http://www.herbariumsupply.com/nu_listCa...  You can also use Elmer's white glue mixed in equal parts with water, put a sheet of waxed paper on top, then some heavy books to weight they plant till the glue dries.

    A good source for leaf margins for specific plants is a book on plant taxonomy.  It will list the type(s) of margins for each species account.
