i saw a documentary not to long ago and the man bought his wife from a different country. i was wondering if you can actually do that and how.

It's not so much of a "buy a bride online" kind of thing anymore. Now the sites are kind of like dating sites, only for people in other countries.

You can! Was it a documentary with a Russian bride? I saw a documentary like that once too. There's plenty of Russian and Asian mail order bride (MOB) websites like:

Most of these women are extremely poor and want to leave their third world country for a better life. I don't really know if that life would be better if you're going to marry someone who is needing to buy their wife lol
