In a lot of parts of the earth Dandelion, Taraxacum officinale  is considered as a weed, because it grows everywhere and is not to remove. The smallest part of its root bears a new plant and it produces masses of wind-dispersed seeds.

In the Philippines it is found wild in the Benguet areas and limited cultivation in lawns and backyards in some parts of the Philippines for its flowering plant.
